At First Class Performance Horses, we pride ourselves in being ‘on the same page’ with our horses, riders and owners.

Ongoing and honest communication is essential as we develop an individual program of care and training to meet short and long term goals. We begin our work together with a realistic assessment of those goals and your equine partner. The plan we develop is continually revisited to evaluate progress. Plans include schedules for training, showing, finances, trainer/owner involvement and – the right mix of schooling, showing and relaxing to keep it fresh and enjoyable!

Whether learning a new riding skill, having us work with your young horse or schooling your finished horse, understanding what we are doing and the progression of our program will keep you involved.

We firmly believe that when you treat each horse as an individual, respect their need to ‘be a horse’ with daily turnout and liberty time, add consistent training that makes the right things easy – the horses will be fit, healthy and happy to be working.

There is nothing more pleasing than to watch a good-minded, athletic horse happily doing their job. A great expression of this is written in the rule book of the National Reining Horse Association.

"To rein a horse is not only to guide him, but also
to control his every movement. The best reined horse should
be willingly guided or controlled with little or no apparent resistance
and dictated to completely”.
